The club hosts a bluegrass jam every month – usually on the first Sunday at the Smithtown Historical Society’s Frank Brush Barn.  The jam starts at 2PM and runs until 6PM.  Come at any time.  All are welcome - from beginners to those with years of experience - from players to listeners.  Come one, come all !  There is a $5 donation for each jammer to keep the BCLI running.  It’s free to listen – come say hello!

The bluegrass jam dates for 2021 are:

Oct. 3rd, Nov. 7th (Dec. 5th Holiday Jam)

The Bluegrass Club of Long Island (BCLI) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization now in its 33rd year of promoting the appreciation and expanding the knowledge of 'Bluegrass' music across Long Island. All of our programs and activities are open to the public. They include partnering with The Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts (BACCA) to bring you the 17th Annual Long Island Bluegrass Festival, offering educational presentations for the young and old including workshops and clinics, hosting local Bluegrass concerts, and providing opportunities for bluegrass musicians to play live music together and network.
